GO TO CHURCH.
The Bible says that we are not to forsake getting together with other Christians (Hebrews 10:25). Sure, it’s true that you can have a relationship with God and get to heaven without attending church, but you’ll live a defeated and extremely challenging life by ignoring this precious resource.
Psalm 133:1 says that it’s good and pleasant when people dwell together in unity. It’s great to be around like-minded individuals who have a sincere devotion to the Lord. It reinforces our faith, bolsters our confidence and helps us to see that there are people all over the world who love God and are not ashamed of it.
As you look for a church to attend, find one where they teach that the Bible is the Word of God. There are many other books in the world worth reading, but none of them is like the Bible, which is God’s voice speaking to mankind. Another vital characteristic of a good church is that they believe Jesus is the Son of God and that He’s the only way to the Father. Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). |
