God doesn't want programmed robots that have no choice but to spend time with Him. He wants people to love and serve Him because they want to. And so, He gave us the magnificent gifts of choice and free will.

Jesus, God's very own Son, became part of the human race, but He did not sin (2 Corinthians 5:21). He was conceived of the Holy Spirit in His mother's womb although she was a virgin (Luke 1:26-35). Jesus is the unique Being of the universe, one hundred percent God and one hundred percent man. God knew we needed a savior, and He provided His son, Jesus Christ.

God did not send Jesus into the world to judge or condemn it, but to save it (John 3:16-17). Jesus did not come to establish just another religion. He is not just one of many holy men. He is God's Son and He is alive today (Revelation 1:17-18)! When we respond to Him and receive Him, something great takes place. We shift out of darkness and into His Kingdom (Colossians 1:13). We're no longer destined for hell, but we're destined for an eternal connection with God, filled with acceptance and love.

When people become true Christians, there is a change of identity (2 Corinthians 5:17). We begin to experience purpose and completeness in our lives, and misery and futility are crowded out. Even though we still face the challenges and difficulties of life, we have a relationship with God who defends, strengthens, leads and guides us through all of life's troubles. If you've never received Jesus into your life, do it now by praying this simple prayer:

Dear God,
You know everything about me.
Please forgive me for all the wrong things I've ever said or done.
I know that Your Son, Jesus, died for my sins and rose from the dead.
Please come into my life and be my Lord.
Help me to follow You always.
Amen.
